At the end of any Championship in Sports during the 2020 season, is there going to be an asterisk? As we approach the end of the NFL season, many of us kind of consider any 2020 sports season as “not real” in a sense. There were so many restrictions, less games, and parts of the game that were just… missing. Did those parts play a big part in the outcome of some games? Probably. Did some teams have an advantage based on what state they were from? Probably. At the end of the day, we can’t really change how those outcomes have played out, but we can still have a “what if” scenario.
In this episode, we continue our discussion about sports during the coronavirus pandemic. From the 1st episode about sports, we talked about how strange it would be for sports to return during the pandemic; the 2nd episode, we speculated how the return of professional football is just as strange since it is a full contact sport; the 3rd episode, after professional football has been played and watched for many weeks now, we share our thoughts on the season; and now, in the 4th episode, we talk about how the seasons have finished up, take a look at how crazy it was, and whether some teams got lucky with the hand they were dealt.
In this episode, we welcome the return of our special guests, Jerrol, Jomar, and Ray, as they had participated in the previous 3 sports episode. We all got together to catch up on sports and our fantasy teams, and discuss the following 2 questions overall:
