#50 - The Rona Series Episode 41: Selfcare Update
Show Notes

A year ago, when the Covid-19 pandemic first began, most of us found it as an opportunity to focus on more self-care.  The thought that this was nature's way of telling us to slow down in life, this felt like an amazing time to re-focus on what truly matters, and that is trying to hunker down on finding the intrinsic nature of what makes us loving humans.  This could be taking care of the temple that is our body, learning a new skill or finally taking up that new hobby we had been pushing back, or just finding peace of mind.  Whatever it is, we felt like this is the golden opportunity to take advantage of the time.  Little did we know, what we thought would be a short break to take care of ourselves, turned into a long, long time to do so.  Though we may have re-discovered ourselves, the stresses of not knowing what to expect of our future became a worthy adversary.

In this episode, we get together talking about our routines and how we are still trying to stay sane and healthy a year deep into the Covid-19 pandemic.  For most of us, we thrive in routine and finding purpose to our day to day life, and with the stresses from the 2020 year, we are confronted with how successful our mindset and our goals are while we attempt to endure the lasting challenges.

Throughout this episode, we agree that most of us come from a set routine background--even before the pandemic.  During the pandemic, our routine is the same for the most part, but the long trek we are in, is causing some form of cabin fever and it is causing us to rethink the mundane, and try to continue to find our purpose to stay motivated everyday.

In the end, trying to find new perspectives, or finding new ways to stay refreshed, is one healthy way to keep our mind, body, and spirit thriving as best as we can during this long pandemic.  Whatever we do to stay healthy, is always our own prerogative.  We understand there isn't going to be one right answer to keep our spirits high, but whatever we do, let us keep the empathy towards one another and let us continue to build towards peace.
