#60 - The Rona Series Episode 51: Are We More or Less Consumers of Media Now?
Show Notes

Since the turn of technology and the advancement of personal computer devices powered with the internet at our fingertips, consumption of the media has been a growing part of our lifestyle.  Even more so today while we are in this pandemic, no longer do we have to venture out to theaters, grocery stores, and restaurants to experience them--we have apps now to get us groceries and food.  Also, video streaming services are allowing us to stream new movies at the same time they are released in theaters.  More than ever we don't have to leave the comfort of our homes.

In this episode, we are going to quickly explore if the pandemic has caused us to be more consumers of media than before.  Or, on the flip side, maybe it has caused us to consume less?

Throughout this episode, we acknowledge that technology was always headed in the direction of bringing us much comfort, but the pandemic seems like to have accelerated it.  Though technology and media comes with its benefits, there are also saturations of the negative.  The pandemic has showed us how to rely and consume more media, but it also has taught some of us to remove ourselves from the media that doesn’t benefit us.

In the end, we are still in the middle of a pandemic as of this writing.  While we are still making our way out of it, we have to continue to live side by side with technology and hope it continues to elevate our lives.
