Social media is a large and mostly integrated part of our lives in one aspect or another. It seems unavoidable, for we find some way to make use of it, or some way to just interact with it. Some can argue that social media apps are a waste of time, bad for our mental health, or make us more disconnected from one another. Others can say it’s beneficial; it keeps us more connected, it helps us in business, it helps us create and grow our brand, and allows us to discover things around the world we wouldn’t have easily discovered, for example. With all that said, we’re going to have a fun discussion talking about a hypothetical and virtual future where our only form of interacting in life is through the use of only one social media app.
In this episode, we will imagine life without the physical world, and wonder what if we live life as we do now except you can only interact with the people and the world around you being tied to one social media app.
Throughout this episode, we chat about the favorite social media apps that we use daily, and why we use it. We both happened to agree on the same app, and we dive in to how useful and fun it is, and how it can apply to our lives if we were to use it to function and survive in a fully remote and virtual world. All hypothetical, and it was great figuring out how the one app can possibly help us continue to build relationships, pursue goals, and stay successful in our work.
In the end, we understand this is a hypothetical situation, and at the face of this conversation, it can just be a very simple dialogue about social media, or it can be deeper than it is and have us diving into the rabbit hole of how a world may look like if needed to rely on social media to survive.
