At some point in time, it seems like we all start to collect things that we find interesting. Maybe as kids, you would collect rocks, or collect cards. As adults, we continue that urge to collect. It doesn’t have to make sense to others, as long as we enjoy it. From large and expensive items to free things we find already disposed of on the ground, why do we collect?
In this episode, we are going to do a quick exploration into our personal psyche of why we collect what we collect, and what emotions it brings to us.
Throughout this episode, we talk about all of our favorite things to collect as adults. With these items that we collect, we talk about the meaning behind them and what makes us appreciate holding on to it. It can be items that we pick up along our travels, or when we receive items that we are passionate about. Overall, it seems the items we collect helps remind us of the experience we had, and gives us a good reason to tell a good story about them.
In the end, we talk about how these items might bring out nostalgia, and how we pick these items up because of the memories we hold dearly. Whatever the reason, we all collect things no matter how small or large. And maybe through the items we hold, brings out the best stories to share. What are things that you collect?
